The ‘Tache | It’s on Prime. Amazon advertises within 30 seconds. The main character is a young woman debating what to do with an unwanted mustache. In the beginning of the story, she wants to remove it. However, when she was reminded of all the cultural icons who also have facial hair, she changed her mind. She is influenced by Freddie Mercury and orders a yellow jacket inspired by one of his better-known stage outfits. The jacket and the Queen song scoring the ad appear to help her wear her mustache to school with confidence. This advertisement encourages people to know themselves and also tap into emotions of being different. The Amazon brand encourages people to accept the uniqueness of themselves and be proud of them with confidence. Being different is not wrong and everyone has their own favorite and role model not only for fashion but also the room’s style in the advertisement which also represents the difference as well. The main character also represents a strong attitude when she walks and dances to the school while other students are wearing normal clothes with basic colors. While there is a contrast of the confidential between the beginning and the end of the story. She was looking at the mirror in her room with a sad face, but after the turning point of the story, she seems to be happier and has more self awareness. The advertisement is related to amazon prime, the streaming service where she saw Freddie Mercury as her role model.
